The Carrion Crown
Iron Weapons and Equipment
Back to House Rules
Most weapons and armour are assumed to be cheap steel, but iron weapons and armours are commonly available. Iron weapons and armours are 20% cheaper but also 20% heavier. Iron weapons are more easily damaged than their steel counterparts. On the result of a ‘1’ being rolled, the weapon takes a point of damage. Armours stuck by a critical hit also lose a hit point.
Weapons that gains ‘Broken’ condition, suffer a –2 penalty on attack and damage rolls.
If the Simplified Encumbrance rules are being used, iron weapons are 1 point heavier, armours 2 points heavier.
Iron weapons have special benefits for the purposes of this campaign.
